See you tomorrow and stay safe.
Done all I can for now. If I vacuum, I'll wake up the pooches.

CoCo
Soon, Hortensia! Have thought of it many a time!
CoCo
O, how I wish, dear Hortensia!
Have had to turn down several recent invitations due to all my clients' being gone themselves. Don't want to sound ungrateful as I stay in beautiful homes for weeks on end, getting fed and paid, but my only companions are tale-waggers. Sweet, but conversation is hardly cerebral . . .
THANKS!
Love,
CoCo
(this may offend some sincere 'christians'.
can you, as a human, stop yourself from breathing?.
i have always thought that one of the basic teachings of 'christianity' is the concept that we are "mere sinners"...riddled with guilt and not worthy of god or life...undeserved kindness has been shown to us etc.... but, we have no control over that, just as we have no control over breathing air!.
In a nutshell, what I've read recently about the so-called redeemer religions:
The original nature-based religions fulfilled the basic needs of humanity, but the arrival of the dominator patriarchal Judeo-Christian/Islam faiths quashed what truly satisfied man's spiritual and physical requirements. What was created was an artifice that perplexed the practical-minded indigenous folk who were converted -- or not -- by the sword. Their culture, their writings, their lives were destroyed.
Invented -- ??? -- was the supreme father deity, his choosing of a special people, his giving them a unique work (preaching salvation) and, last, his visiting destruction (Apocalypse) upon those not heeding said message.
Sound familiar?

just wondering if anyone here that has left, faded away, no longer active in the congregation but not dfd, needed help, money, car, food etc.
and recieved some from an active jw?.
I wonder if it's just a matter of being good at heart despite the organization. Ray Franz said that about Robert Lang:
http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/142719/1/A-Man-in-Spite-of-the-Organization-ISOCF
I have been dealt with kindly and generously by most of my JW friends and family. We have all helped each other over the decades. To see me, to hear me talk, it is evident that I am by no means a cookie-cutter Witness. One dear, loving JW wants my help on a Bible study 'when I start going out in service again.'
Not all Jehovah's Witnesses are shallow and strictly adherent to the ever-changing thought and behavioral cult controls.
How it is here.

Thanks, Darth!
That helps, And Cozumel is a location . . .
I, too, shake my head. Times are so different, even in JW Land.
Hope you had a good time.
When I pioneered 45 years ago in the midwest USA, we drove hours a day between farm communities and isolated homes on rural highways. I asked outr CO, Harold Lackey, how to count time because there were stretches of time when we talked to no one. He said that if we started at 9 AM and finished at 5 PM, subtract one hour for lunch and count 7 hours FST.
I liked that man.
